Williams Street Repertory is a not for profit theatre located in the heart of the US about 50 min North of Chicago in the wonderful town of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Over the past 8 seasons, it has built a reputation for artistic excellence as one of Illinois' leading producing theaters. WSRep works with the industry's best to present excellent award-winning theatre; it has presented some of Chicago’s most memorable theatrical experiences, garnering critical acclaim. Since opening it has presented more than 18 productions with a wide range of appeal; from Chicago Broadway premieres to international debuts to holiday favorites.
The theatre’s diverse artistic policy encompasses bold re-imaginings of classics and Shakespeare, innovative revivals of contemporary musicals and dramatic work, and in recent years has demonstrated a renewed commitment to bringing new plays to its audiences.
At its foundation, the company follows its mission to tell diverse stories with a repertory model of production that add to the cultural richness of the region and nation. We strive to foster vibrant collaborations between core artistic personnel, staff, and the acting company so that we may bring imaginative and emotionally striking stories to the stage.
