The Musical production that St Edmund’s offers as part of the Co-curricluar program takes place every second year. This is a whole school musical, in close collaboration with St Clare’s College. We rehearse in term 1 and have 3 performances of the musical at the start of term 2. Past musicals include: High School Musical, Return To the Forbidden Planet, Oliver, Bugsy Malone & Grease.
On the ‘off’ musical year we perform a Cabaret show, again in association with St Clare’s, which focuses on a specific theme. Past themes include Broadway, Law & Order, Movies, Secret Agents and Spies and St Edmund’s through the Ages.
Both the musicals and cabarets are highly polished productions, showcasing the talented students and utilising industry standard theatrical lighting and sound. This co-curricular has the ability to bring the St Edmund’s community together through the Creative and Performing Arts.
