As a town, Harleston has an amazing sense of community – a place that is friendly, creative and dynamic. Harleston Players are a part of that picture – a community group that offers opportunities as well as entertainment, whatever your age, background or interests.
Founded in 1927, we have a reputation for taking on a challenge, and typically produce three main shows each year, including drama, comedy and musicals. We also have a thriving Youth Theatre Company, an entry point for budding actors, singers and stage technicians. For more information, see the Youth Theatre page.
Auditions are advertised and open to all, there are also backstage roles such as costume-making, lighting, sound, set design, hair and make-up. Rehearsals for the main productions are on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm, and we normally rehearse for 10-12 weeks for each production, with some Sunday rehearsals in the final weekends before the show. We welcome anybody who would like to join us. Whether you would like to act, take on a technical role, help backstage or even join our Front of House team, please get in touch!
