Raylynmor Opera was founded in Peterborough in 1995 for the express purpose of “the production, promotion and presentation of opera and other forms of musical expression in southern New Hampshire.” Since the inagural season, the company has performed over 40 productions of the greatest operas in the repertoire. Its productions have been staged in a variety of venues in the Monadnock Region including the Colonial Theatre in Keene, Peterborough Players, Heberton Hall, Congregation Ahavas Achim, Dublin School and the Jaffrey Women’s Club. The company has fostered the careers of many prominent artists and has been a major outlet for talent on both the national and local levels.
Our Mission is to ignite a passion for opera by performing high-quality productions, employing professional quality talent, incorporating innovative staging and making our productions accessible and affordable to New Hampshire audiences, young and old alike. We are proud to be playing a role in the development of vocal and stagecraft talents of area students and to have provided a stage for the vocal and artistic talents of artists from the region. Raylynmor remains the only company dedicated to performing live opera year-round in the Monadnock Region.
