The CCSF Theatre Arts Department offers classes in Dramatic Literature, Performance Skills, and Technical Theatre and prepares you for transfer to upper-division theatre programs at four-year colleges and universities. Whether you want to be a performer on the theater stage or work behind the scenes to put on the production, the Theatre Arts Department will help you build the skills needed for a career in live theatre.
Take a class to explore an interest, or you can also pursue a major, earning an AA-T degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in either Performance or Technical Theatre. We also offer a Certificate of Accomplishment in Acting.
Outside of the classroom, you will get hands-on experience through our live productions. Performing in the historic Diego Rivera Theatre, we produce five mainstage shows annually which provide you with training in a wide range of skills necessary for the performance and appreciation of this art form.
