Lila Rose Kaplan is a writer based in Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. from Brown University, and then her M.F.A. in Playwrighting from UC San Diego. She is noted for her dynamic female characters, in such shows as The Light Princess and Biography of a Constellation.
Kaplan has won The National Science Award in Playwriting, The International Women's Playwriting Award, and the I.J. Kapstein Award in Playwriting.
