Stewart Lee

Stewart Lee was born on April 5, 1968, in Wellington, Shropshire, England. He studied English at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, where he became involved in comedy and performance. Early in his career, Lee gained recognition as one half of the comedy duo Lee and Herring, performing on radio and television throughout the 1990s. While best known for his stand-up comedy and satirical writing, Lee has also made a lasting impact on musical theatre through his work as a co-writer and lyricist.
