Alasdair Middleton is a leading British opera librettist and playwright. His collaborations with composer Johnathon Dove have produced some of the most iconic British operas of the 20th and 21st century, including *The Enchanted Pig* and his adaptation of Jane Austen's *Mansfield Park*. As well as his writing, Middleton teaches at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
