Mike O’Malley is an American actor, producer, and writer. On screen, he is best known for his appearances as Jimmy Hughes in Yes, Dear and Burt Hummel in Glee. Behind the scenes, he was a writer for the CBS comedy-drama Shameless. O’Malley has written several plays for the stage, including Three Years From Thirty and Diverting Devotion. In 2017, he co-wrote the book for the musical Escape to Margaritaville, which is based on the music of Jimmy Buffett.
