American playwright and drama professor. Most famous for How I Learned to Drive, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1994. Her most recent play Indecent was well-received on Broadway and was nominated for several awards, including the Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Awards. She is currently serving as an adjunct professor of playwriting at Yale School of Drama.
