Biography
William Mastrosimone
William Mastrosimone's first play The Woolgatherer premiered in 1979. Since then, he has been recognized as an important social issues playwright, especially with his royalty-free one act Bang Bang You're Dead; this play was written to raise awareness of school bullying, violence, and examine the reasons behind school shootings. Mastrosimone won a Daytime Emmy for his screen adaptation of Bang Bang You're Dead, and was later awarded a Peabody for the script.
