Rebecca Taichman is a Tony Award-winning theatre director.
Taichman studied at McGill University and the Yale School of Drama. She has directed theatre at the Woolly Mammoth Theater, the Shakespeare Theatre Company, the McCarter Theatre, Second Stage Theatre, CSC Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, Lincoln Center, Vineyard Theatre, and the Old Globe Theatre, as well as directing opera at Gotham Chamber Opera and New York City Opera. On Broadway, she has directed Indecent by Paula Vogel (2017) and Time and the Conways by J.B. Priestley (2017).
For Indecent, Taichman won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play and the Obie Award for Directing, and was nominated for the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Directer and the Outer Critics Circle Award.
