Ayad Akhtar is an American playwright, novelist, screenwriter, and actor. Of Pakistani heritage, he was born in Staten Island, NYC, and raised in Milwaukie, WI. He has received the 2015 Pulitzer Prize in Drama for Disgraced, and Obie Awards for Disgraced and The Invisible Hand.
