Analysis
Apollo is Jupiter’s son, and one of the most important gods in Roman mythology. In this story, he acts as a messenger for his father and delivers Semele’s baby from her ashes to the people of Thebes. The baby will grow up to be the god Bacchus, the god of wine and ecstasy.
