Text

You’re an actor, you know. And yet your doing, for your thesis, you’re writing and directing a film. Which your advisor, for reasons I don’t understand, said is fine. People on the writing track get a reading, but you are writing and directing a film. And have never taken a class about either one of them. Fine. It’s not my business. Because you - rules never seem to apply to you. Everything has to be just the way you want it. Because you always find a way. You just push and push until they get tired of your pushing and you get whatever you want. Fine. But people are going to see this and they know I’m a writer and they know I’ve directed and they’re going to think I thought all of this was fine. And I don’t want that to be the last thing that the people at this school think of me.
