Context
Omari is waiting at the hospital for news of his mother, Nya, who has just had a nervous breakdown. His father arrives and the two men are left alone together. Omari is hostile towards his father. He reassures Xavier that he can go as Omari will be there for his mom. Xavier tries to talk to him about the incident at school, but talk soon turns to fisticuffs, leaving Xavier ashamed. He wants to work things out with Omari but his son tells him it’s too late. As the scene progresses, Omari reveals
