Context
Berenger is in love with Daisy. She has come to his flat to visit him, and encountered Dudard, an office coworker and rival for Daisy’s affections. Dudard has been tempted by the rhinoceroses roaming the streets, claiming he can’t abandon his family and friends, even if they are rhinos. Despite Berenger and Daisy’s protests, Dudard runs out to the rhinos and joins them. Left alone, Daisy and Berenger must now admit their feelings for each other, and anticipate a future in which they are the

Berenger: He’s joined up with them. Where is he now?
Daisy: (Looking out of the window.) With them.
Berenger: Which one is he?
Daisy: You can’t tell. You can’t recognize him any more.

Daisy: We must try and not feel guilty any more.
Berenger: How right you are, my wonderful love. You’re all my happiness; the light of my life. We are together, aren’t we? No one can separate us. Our love is the only thing that's real. Nobody has the right to stop use from being happy--in fact, nobody could, could they?
