Overview
Synopsis
A Marine named Jay comes back to San Diego and stops in at a coffee shop looking for Amani, the sister of his fallen comrade. He was just discharged from the military and is on a mission of his own to tell Amani stories about her brother...or so he claims. Down the road at Camp Pendleton, a therapist named Monica is desperately trying to stay sane while helping soldiers dealing with PTSD and sexual abuse as they reintegrate into society. Through a series of random events, Monica meets Jay and starts developing romantic feelings for him while, at the same time, Jay is falling in love with Amani. Jay and Amani’s connection continues to deepen, but Monica discovers Jay’s deep, dark secret which may ruin everything. Jay must grapple with whether to risk his relationship or live with his secret, and Monica must decide whether to let him make his own choices or tell Amani what she knows.
