The lights come up to reveal a Gloria Estefan concert in full swing (“Overture/Rhythm Is Gonna Get You”). It is 1990 in Washington D.C., and Gloria is performing to a huge audience of adoring fans. From the backstage area, Gloria’s husband, Emilio Estefan, and their son, Nayib, watch Gloria and are transfixed by her performance. Gloria comes backstage to change for her big entrance and checks in with her family. She sends Nayib off to finish his homework in the tour bus and playfully argues
