Il corsaro (The Corsair)

The Greek Corsair must leave his lover, Medora, in order to fight the Turks. In disguise, he manages to infiltrates the camp of the Turks, commanded by the pasha Seid. Corrado and his men try to kill Seid and his followers but fail. Instead, Corrado is captured and prepares for a painful death. Luckily, Gulnara, Seid's favorite concubine, saves Corrado. She kills Seid and escapes with Corrado to the pirate island. Sadly, the false news of Corrado's death arrived before him. His beloved Medora has poisoned herself.
