Synopsis

Victoria Ravenscroft is about to turn 60, but she is by no means ready to embark on this new chapter of her life. With her husband, Neil, arranging a ‘secret’ surprise party in her honor, Victoria is dreading the whole thing. However, there is another secret that Victoria has hidden for years which is about to come out and make her birthday celebrations even more shocking. Unable to sleep, Victoria relives her past, reuniting with those she has loved and lost, as well as those close to her in her present. Over the course of the night, she desperately seeks an answer as to what she should do. Should Victoria reveal to her husband that she has a long-lost daughter whom she gave up for adoption when she was fifteen years old? What will happen when the truth comes out and Victoria’s daughter is finally revealed? As Victoria awaits the biggest moment of her life, her past and present intertwine with surprising, poignant, and often comical results.

Editor’s Note: This play is set in Liverpool with some local references. However these can be changed as deemed necessary to adapt to an alternative location.
