Overview
Synopsis
Paul Morris has come for his first therapy session after a failed suicide attempt that was unfortunately, and somewhat comically, broadcast live on television. His psychiatrist is Jane Summers, a dedicated and intelligent professional, who is facing her own personal battles at home in her marriage. As Paul is forced to dig deep into his feelings and recognize that his unrequited teenage love, Stella, holds no place in his present, Jane carries out some self-reflection also. Paul comes to realize that people must change and move forwards in their lives, just as Jane and her husband, Michael, realize that they must remember what drew them together in the first place. Full of witty one-to-one dialogue and intense character-driven scenes, this new play offers a fascinating challenge for two or four talented actors.
Editor’s Note: This play can be performed as a two-hander or a four-hander.
