Ghost the Musical had its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House in Manchester, England in March of 2011. After a well-received tryout starring Cassie Levy (Hair) as Molly and Richard Fleeshman as Sam Wheat, the musical began gaining momentum.
Ghost transferred to the West End that summer, and to Broadway the following spring. Reviews were mixed overall, but the special effects used in the show were highly praised for their ingenuity.
