An act of holiday generosity threatens the friendship of a pair of skating rink employees.
Julian and Wendy are both working the Christmas Eve shift at the ice skate rink in Central Park. Wendy is frustrated that her boyfriend has bailed on her to go home to his family, especially as she had a whole week of romantic plans for them. Meanwhile, Julian is looking forward to going upstate to his family's farm. Finding out about Wendy's change of plans, Julian rashly asks her to spend Christmas with him at the farm. When she accepts, Julian panics and quickly backtracks, leaving Wendy out in the cold once more.
This is a ten minute play.
