Synopsis

A disappointing 40th birthday leads Sonia, a mother on the verge of a midlife crisis, to leave her family for a binge of prescription Zoloft and deliciously greasy chimichangas. Sonia’s rebellious daughter, Jackie, and her ride-or-die best friend Penelope, come up with a crafty plot to lure Sonia home, while their fathers, Ricardo and Alejandro, struggle with a secret of their own. Chimichangas and Zoloft is a raunchy comedy about two best friends who are dealing with their parents’ midlife crises, examining the elusive search for happiness and the mystery of sexuality through the brazen lens of two Mexican-American teenagers.
