Overview

Synopsis

Escape From Happiness is a fast-paced, satirical look into the Quinn family dynamic. Set in the east side of Toronto, Nora and her three daughters, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, and Gail navigate the dysfunctional chaos that is their family. With an eccentric script by Canadian playwright George F. Walker, the four women discover love, anger, and forgiveness amongst their tattered family remains, while engaging with a plethora of colorful characters; an ex-car thief, a useless criminal father-son duo, and two police detectives who just can’t see eye to eye. Once again, Walker manages to create a world full of greedy, flawed characters who are exceedingly entertaining to watch!
