Overview
Synopsis
When a 29-year-old struggling playwright named Joe returns home to Minneapolis, he finds his parents’ house empty. Suddenly, a steady stream of figures from his life starts to appear on the back porch, including his estranged sister Jean, current lover Ira, and someone who can’t possibly still be alive. Levitation blurs the line between reality and memory as people seem to float in and out. Timothy Mason’s semi-autobiographical memory play offers touching ruminations on family, the inevitability of death, and the nature of memories.
