I am a mezzo-soprano who was trained as an opera singer, but only because there were no musical theater programs back then. I love all things Sondheim, I teach pre-professional and avocational singers (mostly musical theater rep), and I love musicals, even though I have only seen less than a handful of shows on Broadway.
