ABOUT Emily

Emily Sheets graduated from New Orleans Center for Creative Arts in 2016. She is the granddaughter of the great bass-baritone Norman Treigle. She made her operatic debut as the Sorceress in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in 2014 at NOCCA. She has appeared on NPR's From the Top, and is the recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. Miss Sheets has placed 1st at the New Orleans Opera Association Youth Vocal Competition in 2015, 3rd at the National Association for Teachers of Singing Convention in 2014, and was a National Semi-finalist at the Classical Singer Convention in 2015.
