ABOUT Mary

I started singing church solos at 12 and have sung in church choirs ever since. I was in high school theater productions and had a college minor in speech and theater---I majored in Voice. I sang with the Mississippi Opera Chorus between 1963 and 2015. I sang in local production GOLD IN THE HILLS from 1972 until the pandemic. I've performed with the Clarksdale, MS, Lafayette, LA. Jackson, MS, Madison, MS and Vicksburg MS Little Theater productions. My favorite roles were the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors and Salome in Robber Bridegroom. My most recent role was in 2019 at age 81, I sang and pretended I was dancing in the chorus for Vicksburg's Westside Theater Foundation in the Rocky Horror Movie Show. I'm sure my parents would have disapproved ;)
