The principal’s office at Sycamore Trails. PRINCIPAL BETTY THORNDALE sits at her desk, going over some papers. There is a knock at the door.

BETTY Yes?

Enter DEWEY.

DEWEY Principal Thorndale.

BETTY (Looking up.) Mr. Coleman.

DEWEY You sent for me?

BETTY (Gesturing.) Please, have a seat.

DEWEY takes a seat in front of BETTY’s desk.

DEWEY I have to say, I wasn’t expecting this…

BETTY Why does everybody always say that?

DEWEY What?

BETTY That they “weren’t expecting this.” I’m human. You don’t think I like to gossip?

DEWEY Is that what you called me in for?

BETTY No. Well, maybe a little... I know about your wrestling.

DEWEY You do?

BETTY (Nods.) And if I know, chances are the whole school does.
