Context

Frozen first premiered at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, England, in 1998. Four years later, it was staged at the National Theatre’s Cottesloe Theatre in London, featuring Anita Dobson, Josie Lawrence and Tom Georgeson. In February 2004, the play opened off-Broadway at the Manhattan Company Class Theatre. It then moved to Broadway in the summer of the same year, where it was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play. Brian F. O’Byrne won the award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Ralph. In 2018, Frozen was revived at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket, starring Suranne
