Joy graduated with a music degree in 2000, majoring in piano and voice. She traveled across the United States and Canada, playing the piano on tour and performing for Pope John Paul II in Toronto in 2002. Select theatre credits include Seussical: The Musical (Gertrude), White Christmas (Ensemble), Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (Milly), Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical (Lady Beaconsfield), Titanic: The Musical (Marion Thayer),The Full Monty (Pam) and Miss Saigon (Ellen). In 2010, Joy sang onstage with Canadian country superstar Johnny Reid at the CCMA Awards in Edmonton. Joy also performed in The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree in 2012, 2013 & 2015.
