KATELYN What are you doing here?
MARC Happy anniversary.
KATELYN What are you doing here, Marc?
MARC It was a surprise.
She doesn’t respond.
MARC (cont’d) Happy anniversary.
A beat. Katelyn slides her bag off and sits across the table from Marc. She doesn’t speak.
MARC (cont’d) Katie--
KATELYN When did you get here?
MARC Last night.
KATELYN What have you been doing?
MARC Walking. Calling you.
KATELYN You didn’t tell me you were coming.
MARC It was a surprise.
(a beat)
It’s good to see you. You look good.
Katelyn takes herself in. She doesn’t really.
KATELYN You, too.
Marc gestures across the plaza.
MARC I tried to meet you after your show.
KATELYN It closed.
MARC I know.
Marc picks up the pamphlet from the table.
